UAE’s New Policy on 5 year Residency

  • Obtaining a work permit using an Employment contract that is valid in the UAE.
  • Being employed in a skilled worker position is classified as first, second, or third level by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.
  • Holding a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Receiving a minimum monthly salary of Dh15,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.

Freelancers Visa:

Freelancers who work in certain professional fields can also apply for a 5-year residency visa in the UAE. To be eligible,

  • The freelancer must have a valid UAE residence visa
  • A valid UAE trade license
  • And evidence of income of at least AED 20,000 per month.

In addition, they must also have health insurance coverage.

Investors visa:

Foreign investors who invest at least AED 5 million in the UAE can also apply for a 5-year residency visa.

To be eligible, the investor must invest in a property, company, or fund that is approved by the relevant authorities in the UAE. Also, they must have health insurance coverage.
