New Zealand Skilled Worker Immigration Program

In New Zealand, the Skilled Migrant visa Category is for those  with qualifications and experience in professions on the New Zealand’s Skill Shortage List.

These qualifications include relevant qualifications and skills, aged under 55 years, a job offer, ability to use the English language, good state of your health, and good character.

Skilled migrant visas  are issued on a points based system and the points awarded to the mentioned qualification is what will determine the success of the Visa Process.

The first step is to send the New Zealand Immigration an Expression of Interest which is only available after a self-assessment is completed. If the Point based system allocates the required points, an invitation from Immigration New Zealand to apply for a skilled migrant category visa will be sent. The minimum number of required points is 160.

The process of getting a resident visa via the skilled migrant category route can be complex. This is why it is advisable that professional assistance is sought
